1. Summary
Big data is everywhere today. Key to understanding it is to move beyond simply examining the technology for data storage and analytics engines in order to focus on other key developments in the field happening under the radar.
This research note highlights some of these developments that are critical to any organization wanting to prepare itself for a data-centric economy in the coming decades. We go beyond analytics and highlight the roles of data quality, data obesity and data markets in the future of modern enterprises.
