1. Summary
We covered Yellowbrick as part of the GigaOm Radar for Data Warehouses v2.0, as well as in the “Enterprise Analytic Solutions 2021 v4.0: A GigaOm Enterprise Roadmap Report.” In the Radar Report, we identified several key criteria for areas we consider differentiating and critical in this sector. These were optimizations for concurrency; security and governance; managed services offerings; data lake integrations; and BI capabilities and integrations.
We also identified evaluation metrics for data warehouses as scalability, autonomy, extensibility, deployment flexibility, and support for collaboration.
As a result of evaluating Yellowbrick against the key criteria with these evaluation metrics, we identified Yellowbrick as a “Leader” and “Outperformer” in the data warehouse space.
The purpose of this Solution Spotlight is to extend the analysis from those reports into more detail on several of the key criteria and evaluation metrics and further demonstrate Yellowbrick’s status as a Leader and potential as an Outperformer in the rapidly growing and competitive data warehouse space.
